Fab Flash: Chris Gilbert Gives You a Resin to Buy Denim

With prices shooting upwards of $200 for designer jeans, it's safe to say the denim market doesn't have sympathy for the struggling economy. That is, until we found out about Paper Denim & Cloth co-founder Chris Gilbert's new denim line, named Resin. “My biggest goal is for someone to pick out a pair, try them on, and be shocked when they see the price,” said Gilbert.

Resin hits the lower designer price point range of $128 to $158 for a pair. The gritty, New York-inspired collection focuses on straight- and skinny-leg cuts offered in a range of vintage washes. “We approached it from a modern view, keeping in mind that our jeans are created to feel like they’ve been worn before the first wear,” said co-designer Durango Adams. Perfect for the slick, city girl. Interested? The collection makes its debut this Fall at select boutiques across major cities.

The picture and fit on her looks so hot...I read their story in WWD ...As a person who purchases premium denim 200 and up.... 128$ is a deal. Supposedly they are using selvedge fabrics and super stretch fabrics same as the higher cost brands. I cant wait to try them..does anyone know where they are sold yet?? P.S. you cant compare the fit, quality and finish of say a NUDIE jean to the same ones you buy for 50$ sorry..Oh how i wish you could!..

128 dollars for a pair of jeans is cheap? I buy most of my jeans from Delias...they fit me perfectly at rarely will you pay over $50. I try to catch their sales (real sales, none of the designer BS) where they have all denim buy one get one half off. Now THATS a deal.

$128 to $158 is still pricey to most people. I think that in order to "shock" people with a price, it needs to be under $100. Or under $75.
