Come Fab Finding With Me: Chicago Love

Lulu Frost at ShopStyle

I've never been to Chicago but have been itching to go for years. Good news is I'm finally planning a trip. I want to see all there is to see — landmarks, museums, restaurants, boutiques, bars, etc. Of course, I want to maintain my style while there, but don't want to worry about it too much. I don't take much jewelry when I travel but I figure a simple pendant necklace will do. Can you help me put together an outfit I can sight see, dine, and have fun in?

I'll start you off with this Lulu Frost Little Lulu Vintage Flower Necklace ($143) because it's so sweet.

Let's go Fab Finding. Be sure to come back and tell me your Fab Finds are up, or just tag your Fab Finds with Chicago Love.

Now, you can build outfits by creating a list of clothing items. We have everything you need to build outfits, and you can use your Fab Find bookmarks, too. This is an even better way to put together an entire outfit when you are completing your Fab Finding missions.

lizlee89- that does sound like a pain! Normally the pizza restaurant host(ess) is supposed to explain to you at the door that it takes an hour usually to get your deep dish because they're made to order. What a downer. But hey- at least you were able to see your favorite painting up close and personal, that's got to be worth something! I think the neatest part about living here is the museum's free days they host in the fall and winter. The Art Institute is still hosting free thursdays and fridays (i think) and if you go during the weekday, the streets downtown usually aren't that insane. Oh yeah, and be sure to check out the store Akira. There are three locations, all to die for.

not a big fan of Chicago (sorry). went this summer and saw the Art Institute (saw my favorite painting of all time A Sunday Afternoon on La Grand Jatte by George Seurat yay!) and the Sears Tower and Wrigley Field which were all really cool, but there were wayy too many people (it felt like even more than New York) and soo much traffic and not a motel room for 10 miles! seriously, I ended up staying 10 miles outside of the city, and I had to wait one hour! for Chicago pizza - it was suuuuch a pain - I don't know, I wasn't that impressed, but maybe I just had a bad experience...

I grew up in Chicagoland... I miss it soooo much! My recommendation for this time of year is cute skinny jeans, stilettos that are incredibly comfy or ballet flats, and an extralong boyfriend cardigan over a cozy t-shirt. Say hello to the otters at the Shedd Aquarium!

totally random but I dont like the model's face. The one-eye-wide-open while the other is half shut isnt cool.

I lived in Chicago the last six years, but I'm originally from New England. Chicago winters are cold, yes, but they are not as bad as everyone from the Midwest likes to make them out to be. It is just as cold in Rhode Island, for example, during the winter months. Notwithstanding the weather discussion, Chicago is a fabulous city. There is so much to do; it's easy to get around; the people are friendly; and it is clean! You will love it here. IMO, it beats out NYC a million time over....

I've lived in Chicago for the past 6 years and I love it. One more piece of info you need to provide though: when are you coming over? If you're coming over soonish, I'm afraid the only outfit we can help you with is one that includes many layers! and a Winter coat!!
