Come Fab Finding With Me: Holiday Bowling Party

This time of year it seems like there's a never-ending stream of cocktail parties to attend. I wouldn't be Fab if I didn't love dressing up, but sometimes it's nice to switch it up a little.

I've been invited to a holiday bowling party, and since I'm not the best at bowling, I'm focusing on looking cute. Help me out, won't you? I'll start you off with this Dexter Bowling SST Classic ($100) because it's the cutest bowling shoe I could find. But here's an inspirational image from Grease 2 — love — to get your Fab Finding juices flowing. Come back and tell me when your Fab Finds are up and tag them holiday bowling.

Now, you can build outfits by creating a list of clothing items. We have everything you need to build outfits with, and you can use your Fab Find bookmarks, too. This is an even better way to put together an entire outfit when you are completing your Fab-Finding missions.

I chose pieces that are comfortable (not too loose or tight since you're moving around) and that have a little sparkle for evening (the embellished tank and metallic clutch). You could easily ditch the bowling shoes and put on some cute pumps for a night out after bowling.

I agree, this one was tough!

This one was really tough: Here it goes - I picked the jacket because it has the pink piping which not only coordinates with the shoes, but also I think piping is synonymous with cheese-tastic bowling attire and as Jovovich-Hawk shows us, there's nothing cheesy about it. Then I added the tunic and the skinny cords just to keep it a casual cool look since you don't want to look like a fool dressed up for the bowling alley. ;) You can't go bowling without a bowling bag, right? So Coach did this one up real nice. Add the funky little pink/black/gold bracelets and you're ready for a fun night of bowling.

I love the idea of a collared shirt at a bowling alley, so I thought I would do a shirtdress to stay on that theme. The cute sweater adds a little vintage feel, and the bag goes nicely with it. I added in some tights not only for warmth, but just in case of a fall - I always fall at least once when bowling, and tights can minimize embarrassment when wearing such a short dress. I wanted to keep the pink an accent color, so I added in some pretty light pink jewelry - and no rings or bracelets to get in the way when bowling. Keep some flats in your bag in case you go somewhere else later.
