One of our favorite chic voices in social media made a major announcement this week (on Instagram, naturally!). Donna Karan's PR spitfire Aliza Licht (aka DKNY PR Girl) will make the leap from behind-the-scenes in Spring 2015 with her forthcoming book release — and true to form, the news was relayed with some of her trademark sass: "Just 75,000 words. Due April 1st. NBD."
What is a big deal is how many online voices have made the move to print in recent months. From Leandra Medine's Seeking Love, Finding Overalls to Net-a-Porter's forthcoming bimonthly consumer print magazine Porter, could this wave of journalism be the backlash to the backlash or just signal the influence that the online community has on the world at large?
While we wait for the other 74,998 words to materialize, looks like Licht's off to a strong start already!
