Denim DIY

Do-It-Yourself Denim

Check out this cool denim DIY from OnSugar blog Audrey & Angel's Adventures.

A good fashionista knows that great style isn't bought, it's created!  So why go pay top dollar for a trend that can be made at home in no time with no cost!  All you need is an old pair of jeans, some scissors, and voila!  You'll be the cutest cupid on the block in a pair of one-of-a-kind denim cut-offs.

For more tips, read more.

If you're going for a distressed look, you can add wear and tear with some sandpaper and a little elbow grease.  Another option includes using bleach for the acid-washed look.  But for starters, just some good old-fashioned scissors will do the trick!  Just be sure to measure your desired inseam for the perfect fit. Not only will you save money, but your couture creation will be totally unique and you'll be saving the planet by recycling old clothes!

That's what I did skigurl, I cut ones baggy in black that I hated what they fit in my body, and I also cut some bell-bottomed trousers, one pair of the million I have in my wardrobe, although I hate them, for no reason either... And the best part, I am saving the planet by recycling old clothes!!xD

you know what? this is a great idea for jeans that don't fit anymore! I never want to wear baggy jeans but I love baggy jean shorts (it's better for shorts to sit lower on the hips) so I should take the scissors to them. It would also be good for jeans that are no longer in style, like the wider onces I have been holding on to for no real reason.
