When Beck Met Warby Parker and 52 Other Surprising Duos

Nov 27 2013 - 1:05pm

Stop, collaborate, and listen: Fall is in full swing, and we're loving all the designer collaborations this season has to offer. Can you blame us? News of innovative and enticing partnerships from labels we love have had us looking ahead to Autumn for months. Now we can mix our Lulu Frost x J.Crew vintage-inspired shoe clips with our Damien Hirst and Alexander McQueen scarves (all while bundled up in our Edith A. Miller x Schott biker jackets, of course). Click on to see all the designer collaborations we're excited to get our hands on.

Yves Salomon for Opening Ceremony

There's no doubt you'd stand out from the crowd in this high-contrast rabbit fur parka [1] ($2,030).

Bing Bang x We Wore What

We want every design from this romantic ring collection — specifically the mixed-metal Trinity midi ring set [2] ($135).

Jeremy Scott x New Era

When topped off with a runway-inspired Jeremy Scott baseball cap [3] ($65), any ensemble would look straight off the catwalk.

Beck x Warby Parker

What happens when two certifiably cool names collaborate? The result is a line of lenses that include polarized Carmichael shades [4] ($95-$150).

May28th for Anthropologie

What's your spirit animal? These three nature-inspired watches [5] ($48 each) feature a tiger, a bird, and a deer, respectively.

Mara Hoffman for Pendelton

Incorporating the decorative sensibilities of two print heavyweights, these bright towels [6] ($77) would make any afternoon a day at the beach.

Damien Hirst and Alexander McQueen

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the iconic skull scarf, Damien Hirst and Alexander McQueen have launched a chiffon, pongé, twill, and cashmere collection [7] ($515-$1,175) consisting of 30 one-off designs.

Edith A. Miller x Schott

In celebration of Schott's centenary, these two iconic American labels have adapted the legendary Perfecto – the leather biker jacket [8] ($897) pioneered by Schott in the '20s — and given it a modern spin.

Lulu Frost x J.Crew

Why should your ears and neck have all the fun? The popular brands have teamed up to launch a sparkling collection that features three dramatic sets of vintage-inspired shoe clips [9] ($98).

Thierry Lasry x Kelly Wearstler

Combining key elements from Kelly Wearstler and the French sunglass designer's worlds, the Anorexxxy shades [10] ($555) blend marble mixed with black-and-gold detailing and Thierry’s aesthetic, which is influenced by '80s style

NikeID Pendleton Collection

Customize your kicks with mix-and-match patchwork prints [11] ($125-$200).

Vivienne Westwood Loves

The holidays are all about giving, and Vivienne Westwood is giving us not just one collaboration, but five. The collection of partnerships is called Vivienne Westwood Loves and includes luggage from Globe Trotter, outerwear from Gloverall, sweaters from Johnstons of Elgin, hats from Lock & Co., and socks from Pantherella.

The pieces will be available in select stores and at VivienneWestwood.com [12] starting the second week of November.

Aldo Rise x Preen

Another season, another chic collaboration [13] ($160-$230) from Aldo and Preen. This time a trio of red, white, and black styles have really won us over!

Nike x Liberty

Teaming up once again, Liberty and Nike have joined forces to cover the label's iconic kicks [14] ($194-$290) in a print with just as rich a legacy. Founded in the '60s, Bourton is one of Liberty's original motifs!

ITA Collection For The Raven

Originally created as a limited 150-piece collection (which served as an invitation to The Raven's grand opening), ITA Collection's interlacing leather, metal, and calf-hair unisex cuffs [15] ($395) are available for all to purchase!

Veda x Pamela Love

A match made in downtown-cool heaven, the labels conspired on talon cuffs, a clawed necklace, and colorful blanket jackets [16] ($1,100).

Richard Chai x JewelMint

The designer's nature-inspired collection [17] ($30-$60) references organic themes like rain and branches.

Kelly Wearstler For Paperless Post

The bold designer launched her first collection for Paperless Post [18] with 50 invites fit for the most swanky of affairs!

Cameron Silver For Nine West

It's only fitting that Decades' Cameron Silver would find vintage inspiration in his Nine West collaboration. Referencing '80s punk, the collection includes clutches for a night on the town and edgy pumps [19] ($89).

Pernod Absinthe and Maison Kitsuné

Pernod and the record label Maison Kitsuné must know that nothing goes with a good drink like a nice tune. That's why the two have teamed up once more on a limited-edition Pernod Absinthe bottle design [20].

Aerin Erickson Beamon

When two beautiful brands combine, the result is designs too good to miss, like this gemstone cocktail ring [21] ($180).

Kenzo x Toilet Paper

Kenzo and Toilet Paper bring you the chicest sweatshirt ($295) your eyes have ever seen!

The Man Repeller x Superga

There's nothing repelling about the Fall-ready fabrics (think: velvet and boucle) Leandra Medine selected for her Superga kicks [22] ($125 - $160).

Reebok Classic x Alicia Keys

A variety of color options mean the singer's wedges [23] ($120) have as much range as her voice!

Petit Bateau Opéra national de Paris by Monsieur Christian Lacroix

Available December 6, this Parisian chic collection will be perfect for the holidays. Case in point: this striped cotton jersey skirt ($100).

Hollister x Keds

Introducing two new Hollister prints for Keds: a cute heart motif and cool zig zag canvas kicks [24] ($45).

Alice + Olivia for Goop.com

When two stylish ladies like Stacey Bendet and Gwyneth Paltrow [25] team up, we expect nothing less the chic. The duo did us proud with an embossed grey leather Olivia bag [26] ($545).

Rag & Bone for Hunter

Classic style and city edge meet in the rain boots created in the Rag & Bone capsule for Hunter [27]. Our favorite? This statement-making pair that comes in navy blue and sage green. We especially love the pair's slight asymmetry.

Want Les Essentiels de la Vie For J.Crew

This clever two-way tote [28] ($398) transforms from a roomy top-handle carryall to a utilitarian leather clutch.

Converse x Marimekko

Maija Isola, Maija Louekari, Fujiwo Ishimoto, and Katsuji Wakisaka's rich, poppy patterns will be just the thing to kick around with this Fall!

Kara Ross For Chico's

Chico's is feting its 30th anniversary this season with 10 exclusive ebony and resin jewelry designs from Kara Ross.

Ruthie Davis (HEART) John Bartlett

Featuring a print inspired by John Bartlett's three-legged pit bull, these charitable Ruthie Davis kicks and pumps will benefit the menswear designer's Tiny Tim Rescue Fund when they're available in January. Davis' sneakers will be produced for both men and women and are produced from cruelty-free, vegan materials.

Rihanna For River Island

Flavored with a "New York street vibe," the black, oxblood, and camouflage offerings in Rihanna [29]'s 80-piece collection will be available on Sept. 12.

Chinti and Parker x Patternity

The 28-piece collection is a print tour de force of sweaters, pants, and dresses in a range of black, white, and navy. Ranging from $145 to $800 — including this geometric jumper [30] ($630) — there's definitely something for everyone!

Kate Spade New York x Darcel

You don't have to be a Manhattanite to appreciate these Big Apple (literally) designs. Kate Spade New York x Darcel [31]'s collection captures iconic city staples — e.g., donuts, pretzels, and taxis — and adds a whimsical and wearable twist.

Uniqlo x Celia Birtwell

The British designer's print-heavy pieces [32] are as bright as they are easy to wear!

Kate Spade Saturday by PF Flyers

This floral Kate Spade Saturday by PF Flyers canvas pair [33] ($65) is enough to make me convert from wedge sneakers to flats.

Calypso St. Barth + Shashi

As bright as any of the garments you'd hope to find at beach-friendly Calypso St. Barth, a duo of beaded Shashi bracelets [34] ($125) would be perfect for a day at the beach.

A.P.C. & Vanessa Seward

Launching July 26, the third incarnation of A.P.C. & Vanessa Seward [35] features relaxed shapes, colorful prints, and feminine details with a touch of retro inspiration. Of the collection, A.P.C. said, "Vanessa returns to her favorite materials and delicately immerses them in the world of A.P.C. Lace adds a graphic touch to the sporty attitude of a blouse, asymmetric embossed lamé gives glamour to the prim allure of a dress, and this bronze couture fabric is stamped with an animal print."

The Coveteur x BaubleBar

Stepping in as the latest "guest bartender" for BaubleBar, The Coveteur's Erin Kleinberg created a line of edgy, vintage-inspired accessories [36] starting at $18. "Neon, much like leopard print, is practically a neutral for us. . . . Supersaturated accents lend a lot of impact to more bling-y pieces, like a chandelier earring," Kleinberg described.

Kate Spade Keds

For Keds and Kate Spade's second outing, the tennis sneaker brand's president, Rick Blackshaw, promised, "We've gone even more graphic this season, with bold prints featured on our most feminine silhouette, the Champion Rally, giving a lot of style on a slender sneaker." If this striped set is any indication, then we can't wait to shop the line on Aug. 1.

Todd Lynn For Debenhams

As part of the Designers at Debenhams initiative, Todd Lynn's 12-piece capsule [37] will include outerwear, knitwear, denim, and leather pieces, and will launch in October. Of the partnership, Debenhams's group trading director, Suzanne Harlow, said, "He is the perfect candidate to join our edition concept, evolving and complementing the existing collections with his sharp tailoring and leather pieces."

Hannah Bronfman + Kaelen

Blending sweet pink with cool colorblocking, the sporty shorts [38] ($295) from the Hannah Bronfman + Kaelen capsule collection are destined to move quickly!

Steven Grotell for Plukka

Among the pearl and 18-karat gold offerings from Steven Grotell for Plukka, the geometric drop earrings [39] ($800) are definite standouts!

Rosamund Pike for L.K.Bennett

Rosamund Pike worked closely with the L.K.Bennett design team for six months to create her Autumn 2013 collection, which includes a rich-orange leather tote [40] ($595). "I think having a handbag is about feeling that you are holding a little bit of luxury, and hopefully that is what this bag will offer," she said.

Alternative x Urban Outfitters

If you're looking for cool and cozy, you've come to the right place with Alternative x Urban Outfitters' five-piece capsule collection. Featuring oversize hoodies, comfy tees, and an adorable duck-print pullover [41] ($38), these basics will get you through Fall!

L'Wren Scott For Banana Republic

Launching for holiday [42], one of the first glimpses we got of this hot pairing is a convertible printed bag with a chain-strap handle that doubles as a bracelet or necklace.

A.P.C. Kanye

With one zoomed-in shot [43] of a denim label, A.P.C. announced one of the season's most anticipated releases (after Yeezus, that is!).

The Reebok x ME Love Shoe

For Reebok and jewelry designer Melody Ehsani's second outing, the M.E. Betwixt Mid, the labels created spiked metallic python kicks [45] ($150).

Isabel Marant For H&M

As if hearing about Isabel Marant's line for H&M [46] didn't already have us at the edge of our seats, seeing the designer's Instagram in the label's dress got us grabbing our credit cards.

Maison Jules x Martone

Macy's will celebrate its new Parisian-inspired brand, Maison Jules, with a set of wheels from Martone Cycling Company. The custom limited-edition bikes will be given away (1 per store) on Aug. 1. Better peddle over quickly; only 151 bikes will be produced.

K-Way x Versus

July 10 brought the first glimpse of the highly anticipated K-Way x Versus collaboration. Among the offerings, a reversible windbreaker [47] ($495), with two options: a streamlined solid and a bold black and white print.

Phillip Lim For Target

We can barely contain our excitement at the thought of the Phillip Lim for Target collaboration. Slated to debut Sept. 15, it has us looking forward to much of the same Lim aesthetic we know and love — all at a much lower price point. Get your sneak peek right this way [48].
