I like to use http://www.keeplookingbusy.com for online shopping. This funny website offers you an interface that looks like a Word. You can Shop on Amazon, Search for deals on eBay, and Browse News no one can see what are you really doing.

I have gone browsing before. I don't feel guilty bc like everyone says it's YOUR lunch break and your free time.

Yes, but usually only on Fridays when I'm looking for something to wear during the weekend. I'm a lawyer, so it doesn't matter where I go at lunch, as long as I get my billable hours in at some point.

i agree with the other ladies, i don't understand what all the shush is about! if there's a sample sale i'm going to, i always tell my boss about it, and very often see her there too!

Yes, that's the only time I could shop when I worked in retail.

I certainly have, but I have the same question--what is there to be scared of? I can do whatever I want on my lunch break. Although I have taken longer lunches...

As long as I make it back without going over my time, my boss doesn't care. I shop for all types of things on my lunch break at least once a week- household items, toiletries, shoes. I work downtown, so I am in a prime shopping area.

I work right downtown where all the shopping is, but live an hour away in "suburbia". It just makes more sense to do it on my lunch break than to wait for the weekends.

I do mostly online shopping during my lunch break. I also agree with the above - what's the big deal if the boss knows?

I'm with others, yes, I occasionally shop on my lunch break (well, on days when I actually take one). And no, I don't feel the need to keep quiet about it. Why would I?

I don't work yet, I'm still studying. My lunch breaks last about 3 hours so I do it once a week. :)

Shopping while on lunch? Well doesn't that sound pleasant! If I had more time than twenty minutes, I would love to head over to the mall and scope out the sales

Ditto here. I shop all the time during my lunch break and usually let my co-workers and boss know, just incase they might want me to pick up something while I'm there or go with!

If I feel like it, I shop. What's with all the shushing? Your break can be spent anyway you please. Well as long as it's legal. ;)
