But if there's a big pile of mess I don't bother. saucyfilipina 6 years If there's people around me, then yes. If not, no. It also depends whether or not I'm lazy. haha. bugsybabs 6 years I used to work in a clothing store, so really any little bit helps. I mean if you ave worked in a store, there are enough headaches give you without that being on the to do list at the end and beginning of the day. Plus its just rude to leave it. I mean its not the store's job to pick up the stuff you drop. dootsie 6 years I want to throttle anyone who says "they pay people to do that kind of thing"... sorry to those that echoed that sentiment, but they do NOT pay people to be your personal maid. If you drop something and someone steps on it or runs over it with a cart or something, it's ruined! That means money out of your pocket in the long run, because it incurs cost to the business. It's common courtesy, people. You're not above picking up something that you dropped. Shop_Oholic 6 years I am OCD when it comes to clothes in a messy pile. Sometimes I will start folding shirts at a store... Briandiesel 6 years I'm not really concerned that the clothes are going to get wrinkled or something. It's more a sense of doing what's nice Sarahrob 6 years I used to work in retail, so I know how annoying it is to have to pick up after everyone. I even hang stuff back up on their hangers after I have tried them on or refold them in their piles, but I NEVER put things back from the dressing room, that is NOT helpful to the sales people. I just do anything that I know will help them make their jobs a little easier cause I know it could be me cleaning it up. SDTransplant 6 years I'll pick something up if I dropped it or knocked it over, but not if it's already on the floor. prettywarrior 6 years If I knocked it over/dropped it, sure. I worked retail and I know what a pain it is to clean up after slobs. But I'm also not going to stop shopping to tidy up a pile of shirts that someone else messed up while pawing around for their size... there's a reason I don't work retail any more! Anadi 6 years I feel bad if I don't. tellmemorex2 6 years I dont usually.. tellmemorex2 6 years I dont usually.. vmruby 6 years Always...... whether I dropped it on the floor or not.I hate seeing those nice, new, clean clothes being stepped on. sidra5397 6 years I always pick it up if I've knocked it down. I sometimes pick up items that have fallen due to no fault of my own; only if it's one or two on the floor, never if it's a giant pile. skigurl 6 years i don't unless someone is with me or someone is watching...or if the item is too beautiful to leave there gathering dirt they pay people to do that sort of thing skigurl 6 years i don't unless someone is with me or someone is watching...or if the item is too beautiful to leave there gathering dirtthey pay people to do that sort of thing weffie 6 years isn't that just common courtesy? snarkypants 6 years always pick it up!!! snarkypants 6 years always pick it up!!!
