In my opinion, a wearable jewelry collection should be chosen by the wearer and should consist of semi-valuable jewelry, high-end fashion jewelry, and a few luxe pieces, to be worn separately or mixed together. Semi-valuable includes real gold and/or sterling silver pendant necklaces, chaines, earrings, bracelets and rings and can include semi-precious and precious gemstones. Fashion jewelry should include many different styles and materials, including wood, glass, and leather. (It should also be nickel free!). It should be of high quality and not look cheap so that it can be mixed with the semi-valuable and luxe pieces. And luxe items include pearls, diamonds (I hate diamonds personally) and very high quality gold and silver pieces. I think in order to accessorize for every occasion, to be fashionable, a girl needs a bit of everything. And to reflect your individual style, you should select your jewelry yourself.

Unfortunately I'm SO GUILTY of this that it's almost ridiculous. I'm in love with diamond.com, I can't help it!

i am not so into buying jewellery, cos i am afraid i might misplace them. my most indulgent jewellery got to be my T&co ring which i bought myself years ago. other than that, my BF buys me the bling, like earrings and ring. so i would say i prefer to be the recipient of jewellery as presents.

My husband has bought all my nicest jewelry, recently, but I'm also a silversmith, so if I really want something special, I'll make it.

No, I wait for my boyfriend to buy me expensive jewelry!

Never. I like the look of costume jewelry, and I'm not responsible enough for the real thing. My jewelry always ends up lost or broken so I buy the cheapest stuff I can find and discourage my family from giving me anything nice. I don't mind investing in clothes, shoes, or handbags if I have the money, but when it comes to jewelry I'm a terrible cheapskate.

Nope. I'm not really that into fine jewelry anyway. I prefer the look of costume jewelry.
