If you still have your prom dress and are willing to part with it you may want to check out a cool site I found. http://www.formalxchange.com It's a cool site that was started by a 16 year old high school student and seems pretty neet and the best part, no fees!

I had a lot of Homecoming, Winter Ball, and Prom dresses. They were all at my parents' house. I think that I told my mom that she could get rid of most of them...there may be a few still around. I have not needed a formal dress since then!

HAHAHA I just wore my prom dress from 5 years ago to my company's Christmas Formal! It's actually in my look book :)

Still have most of them, except one I loaned to a friend and never got back. The nerve!Granted, they're from 8-10 years ago, and I probably wouldn't get back into them, but I do still have them. Hopefully some deserving lass will cross my path that will love them, and I can pass them along.

I designed and made many of my prom dresses... and being in the designing mode at that age, they had all been deconstructed and repurposed by the mid 90s!!

I made mine into a fancy skirt and threw out the top half.

Yes I do. I even wore it again in a wedding because it matched the color the bride had picked for the bridesmaids exactly. I've been considering shortening the hem for a more hip look.

Yup. Ten years later and it still fits!

My prom dress was actually a wedding dress!! The small town I grew up on was big on the ball-gown/wedding-gown style dresses and that's all anyone wore! It cost my parents $600, I still can't believe they spent that...but my dad donated it (along with my sister's prom dress and all our past bridesmaid dresses) to one of those foundations that provide prom dresses for girls from low-income families. I thought that was very nice of him and the perfect thing to do with it.

I never had a prom because 1) the school admin didn't have anyone to volunteer as chaperones, and 2) they didn't think it was appropriate to have a bunch of boys and girls in one place together at night. :( :( :(

Yes :) My prom was about a year and a half ago. But my prom dress was simple enough that I've been able to wear it at least once again.

Nope, I hate dances and I refused to go to my prom. My boyfriend at the time was so mad at me for the longest time.

My sister and I donated all our prom and homecoming dresses to a local organization that provides dresses and shoes (and even hair styling and make up!) to underpriveleged girls. I am so happy someone will get some use out of it, because I wasn't going to wear it again.

No, but I wish I did, they would be vintage and my daughter would get a kick out of them. But, I am storing hers and will encourage her to always keep it.
