I have a couple tops that could be considered political, but I really don't wear them anymore. I hardly ever wear t-shirts to begin with.

I used to wear poltical/statement shirts as a kid, but not so much anymore.I am a compulsive reader, so I like reading t-shirts on other people (whether or not I agree with the statement.)I may not find these types of tees my style, but I would not call them "tacky" either.

I think it cheapens the message. Plus I don't really have any clothes with writing on them.

Does my Shatner/Hasselhoff '08 shirt count? ;DI NEVER liked real political t-shirts. They're pretty childish. A lot of them are supposed to be "funny," but are actually kind of offensive. Like "Republicans for Voldemort" and stuff. Seriously, GROW UP!

empty barrels make the most noise. i think, after a certain age, it's just tacky and obnoxious and just loudly saying you don't have much to say.

Sometimes. But I HATE when people wear shirts with political views just to seem "cool", like they don't know any of the story or information behind it. Only true supporters deserve to flaunt the gear.

I have only two shirts with anything written on them, and I think they're cute but not really political. The one says world peace and the other says hug a tree, but neither of them look too cheesy like a lot of message t-shirts. Just happy :)

I don't wear T-shirts ever, so that sort of rules out any political message on my clothes. Even if I did, I probably wouldn't wear political T-shirts anyway.

Um am I missing something? How is a t-shirt about Africa political? Funny considering the fact that part of the One Campaign is to make poverty less of a political issue. I've got a few of their t-shirts that have pictures of Africa on it. I also have a Save Darfur t-shirt as well. I don't see anything wrong with it and I don't see how its tacky.

i meant to specify that shirts with writing are ok to me but i wouldn't get political.

i don't see any problem with it. i think that it depends on the wording and the overall look of the shirt. i wouldn't wear a political shirt personally or a joke type shirt but, for instance, i do want this shirt that john lennon wore that says "this is not here". it's really really simple and i think that's fine

The t-shirts I wear at the gym usually have writing on them. But they range from funny to political messages.

No, I think it's tacky. But my friend is a huge supporter of Africa and wears tees about it nearly everyday.

They're toitally tacky. I hate when people wear them. Honestly, no one cares about your views. I'm not going to see someone wearing an Obama shirt and think, 'Oh, they're voting for him. How nice.' I mean, really.
