It was a "love at first sight" situation for us at the Dries Van Noten Spring '13 show, and after much office conversation (read: group-lusting after its wares), we think it only appropriate to re-create one of our favorite runway looks right now. The collection was crafted as a moody Spring romance, balanced out by chiffon plaids, darker sequin separates, and bold floral prints. And while we wouldn't mind trying on our own tartan-printed chiffon outerwear, it may be a little too light for the current cool weather we're experiencing. Instead, we're opting for a red-checked button-up that is equal parts polished and menswear-cool. You can certainly stay true to the outfit's other core essentials — yes, the long sequin-embellished black skirt is a keeper. To emphasize the look's textural intrigue (and inject a Fall touch), just add an eclectic pair of printed T-strap pumps and a black-and-white plaid clutch. Finish with a bright fuchsia lip color and consider yourself a season ahead.
