Summer is in full swing, and I've put together five easy ways to look chic this season. These styles take no time at all when you're getting ready in the morning, so you can strike the balance of a flawless image without looking like you tried too hard.
Outfit 1: My first outfit can be worn day or night. I'm wearing an All Saints crop top (similar here), which is the perfect length to show a little midriff without feeling overt about it. I paired it with Rebecca Taylor printed shorts ($75, originally $250) that make any body shape look great. I finished the look off with my black 3.1 Phillip Lim Devon flats ($395) and navy Proenza Schouler medium PS1 leather handbag ($1,695). I always like to wear unique or brightly colored handbags so my outfit isn't too matchy. Another thing I love right now is layering my jewelry, so I always wear multiple rings and bracelets to add a little something extra to any outfit.
Outfit 2: My second look is for when you're wanting a more relaxed feel. Overalls are great during the daytime, and I love wearing them to concerts — especially if they're more fitted like these Free People washed denim overalls ($98) I'm wearing. They're surprisingly comfortable too! I always wear a tank top (shop similar) underneath, but if you want a sexier feel, crop tops work too. I either wear them with heels or my Rag & Bone Harrow booties ($495). I top it all off with my pair of Elizabeth and James Fillmore sunglasses ($195) that I'm completely obsessed with these days.
Outfit 3: For date nights or going out with the girls, I go for my perfectly chic Banana Republic dress (shop similar). Cutouts for dresses are still in, and when paired with a beautifully bold clutch, like this Clare Vivier croc-embossed, fold-over clutch ($210), you're bound to look perfect. It's always fun to sport some adventurous pumps and a bold red lipstick to finish off the look. It instantly makes you ready for a night on the town.
Outfit 4: When going to a fun day event, I love to put on my Urban Outfitters dress (shop similar) and Ecote double-buckle sandals ($34). This outfit is so easy, yet a total standout. It even withstood a day at Coachella! That says a lot, right? Now that I'm in my 30s, I always love to wear hats to protect my face from the sun, and this Free People one is still a favorite. The final touches are my Maya Brenner necklace (shop similar) and Jacquie Aiche earjacket (shop similar) that I constantly get compliments on.
Outfit 5: Another option for a casual day out is this Mossimo dress from Target (shop similar). I absolutely love Target and its great finds for super affordable prices. That way, if I only wear it once, there's no guilt, right? I always pair my Melissa jelly shoes (shop similar) with this dress. They are so comfortable and add a nice pop to any outfit.
