Have you ever wondered where the term chandelier earring came from? Karen Erickson (right), co-founder of Erickson Beamon, coined the term in the '80s when she designed a tiny dollhouse chandelier earring. Ironically, however, you won't see Erickson wearing any of her creations. "I'm not a jewelry person. I would never go into a jewelry store," she said. "And I think that's what sets us apart - we're the antithesis of jewelry." Interesting!

I love Erickson Beamon! They are my fave jewelry designers. Unfortunately, as a college student I cannot afford anything of their designs - yet. In the meantime, does anyone know where I could get affordable jewelry similar to Erickson Beamon?
