love j.crew, love the collection, never will ever be able to afford it. (well okay hopefully one day i will be able to but at that point i won't want to.) i'm suprised they haven't debuted some 'name' designers with the collection - maybe they will when they hit the runway.

the quality of their clothes never makes their inflated price tag...

Wow, they've certainly gotten super sure of themselves haven't they? I agree with everyone, if you're dropping mad cash like that, it isn't at J Crew.

Yikes! It's cute, but too expensive. Even the regular line is almost too much for me to pay. A simple cotton shirt shouldn't cost $60!

I like a lot of what I see, but I don't think the brand is available in Australia. Then again, I wouldn't be able to afford it, even if it is ... =(

I love the collection, it's very pretty! The price is a different story. That's too pricey - especially for J. Crew items :raspberry:

I have major J. Crew issues at times (like clothing falling apart) but for some reason I stay loyal. I'll probably be all over this. I think it's super cute.

J. Crew is all right, but so much of their stuff is so flimsy and poorly made. nothing but a brand.

prices have been going up up and away at j.crew since the great sell-off of 2003. i miss those old days with the 20 off 80+ freeship coupons. nowadays you JUST get free shipping with a 175 purchase, and you'll like it!! lol.

At those prices I will buy from a real designer and make it a real investment. I think spending that much on something designed by "JCrew" is laughable. I love their regular line of clothing and wish they would stick to that!

I hate most J Crew stuff. Are their jeans still designed by the Seven peeps?

I actually bought my wedding dress at J Crew after finding it on a high-fashion wedding blog as a "get the look for less." It was under $200, silk, and GORGEOUS. But I lucked out - I ordered it online and it fit like a glove - but in the store I haven't been able to find a single thing that fit. I'm not impressed by the movement to jack up prices on everything lately - it's pushing me further in the opposite direction.

The thing I've always liked about J Crew and Banana Republic is that you can get some really nice pieces and not pay a fortune for them (especially if you have a coupon). I know they are going to keep their regular clothes but I don't like the idea of them going high-end. I think the price of clothes is getting insane. Who would have known that jeans would cost over $100 and simple shirts over $200, shoes over $400 and handbags in the thousands. It used to be that the only thing you would spend hundreds on were coats and dresses that you would wear to a wedding or cocktail party. It's like they're asking young women to go into debt. Sad.
