Fab Site: Ruehl.com

Ruehl, Abercrombie & Fitch's lesser-known older sister, has just launched its e-commerce site, Ruehl.com. The store currently specializes in handbags, cologne, and perfume geared for 22 to 35-year-olds, but will expand to include its entire assortment of apparel, jeans, and outerwear for Spring.

The Riley bag, shown second from the left above, which comes in Sienna or Chocolate and retails for $298, is a best-seller. Before you brush this aside and say that Abercrombie's not your thing, give the site a scan. Did I mention I can't wait to see what the clothes will look like?!

Abercrombie and Hollister makes the worst style of clothes. I wouldn't be caught dead in abercrombie.

hehehehe, thanks you guys!I need shorter length jeans for the most part, I don't wear heels often enough, and I am ALWAYS in flops or ballet flats when I'm not in my uniform (combat boots, HOT!!! lol)I am mostly into Lucky brand or 7s, which can get expensive, but I do have a nice pair of jeans from AF before they started looking mass produced in cheap (did anybody notice that? they used to have a lot higher quality stuff all around until the last few years. the only stuff that retains its thickness and quality is their fleece) and they are a short, so that's a bonus but they are actually still kinda long, LOL.Maybe I'm just freakin short. :)

stephsharer, The jeans are $99.50 here, I just typed it wrong, but that's still super inexpensive to me. I usually buy Diesel jeans and they are like $300.00 or more so $99.50 is a good price to me.

yeah actually they've been selling clothes since they first opened up. but the stores have only opened up slowly in select places. their store looks really cute from the outside - reminiscent of those quaint little houses in greenwich village, ny. anyways, their clothes are pretty much the same as a&f except they have a larger selection with tons of clothing that are always 50% off or more. their website used to not have anything on it at all. but recently they added the bags and accessories.

royalblue - sorry, i see that you answered her question. however, the jeans here definitely are 99.99 which are TOOO expensive for abercrombie/ruehl jeans, me thinks.

they do have short jeans. i buy them (there is a store here) but they are WAY OVERPRICED. my jeans are just like abercrombie jeans but they were 100 dollars. however, i AM ALWAYS looking for short jeans, because no one makes them unless you are an old lady who buys petite talbots clothes.

Don't get too excited about seeing the clothes. There's a Ruehl store in Dallas, and there is no difference between their clothes and Abercrombie's clothes... other than the price...They are even more expensive!

candace117, I personally like their jeans better because They are of better quality and the washes are more dramatic and not so basic and cheap looking like Abercrombies. I'm not an Abercrombie fan at all. I also like that I can find a 34" inseam which a 24" and 25" waist size jean. I have a hard time finding tall lengths with a smaller waist size at most places. I'm not too sure about their short lengths because I'm 5'10. I do know that all their jeans go by waist size and you can get any size of these sizes 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30. The inseams they have are 30, 32, 34. You can get any waist size with any of those inseams. So you shouldn't have a problem. Their jeans are $89.50 per pair so they are really inexpensive and are great quality for that price. my fav fit is the "Barrow" which is the skinnier leg.

RoyalBlue, are their jeans the same styles as AF? Is there any difference there? I'm pissed because AF only makes short lengths up to size 6 now, which I am not. :-/

Don't get too excited to see the clothes by Ruehl. They look EXACTLY like Abercrombie and Hollisters clothes except slightly better quality and they have RUEHL instead of the moose as the logo on their items. They are the same exact clothes just more expensive.I've been shopping Ruehl for about 4 years now and the only good things they sell are jeans, handbags, belts and other leather goods. Those are the things that I buy from them because those items are really great quality and are nicely made.Their bags use to be WAY better quality when they first came out and much better designs. The newer bags are still nice but nothing like they use to be.

Haha I agree with Jillz.... I live in Las Vegas and we have a store in Fashion Show Mall on the strip. It's basically the exact same as Abercrombie except they use black and there are less logos all over the clothing, or should I say less recognizable. It's pretty over priced too, however they do make some things in black which I don't believe A&F does. I dunno??!! I loved the store about 4 years ago when I first went in NJ, but now that I have easy access to it anytime, I just find it overpriced, overrated, and the music is way too loud!
Jillz1128 Jillz1128 8 years
I've actually been to one of these stores, which do already have clothes. It is basically the same really boring plain stuff and ripped jeans that A&F already had, and its all way overpriced.
