Chloë Grace Moretz Has Always Been a Fashion Icon in the Making — You Just Didn't Realize It

"I love Cleopatra, with Elizabeth Taylor," she once told W magazine. "And [my brother] Trevor showed me Breakfast at Tiffany's when I was 8 or 9. I love Audrey Hepburn. Watching that film, I realized that through acting you can transport an audience to another time and place and state of feeling."

"[My brother] Trevor has introduced me to tons of fashion," Chloë also revealed to W. "But when we were there, I got obsessed. I used to wear button-down shirts and little sweaters, and I looked like an adult, but now I want to have a Christopher Kane kind of style. I'm moody: I wear a lot of black — but I could reinvent myself tomorrow."

And can frequently be spotted sitting front row at the NYFW show.

The brand even threw her a 16th birthday party along with Teen Vogue!

She slipped out of her gown into a red dress and had what truly sounds like the perfect night!

"I decided to pose like Cinderella," Chloë captioned a throwback pic on Instagram. "Fun fact," she added. "I jammed to 'Hollaback Girl' by Gwen Stefani on the way there."

"I've honestly been wearing a ton of little scarves around my neck — little ones that you tie," she told us at Coach's NYFW show. "That's kind of something that I've been doing a lot of recently and I feel like a lot of people have been doing it, too."

On occasion, the star can be spotted wearing large frames.

The fashion item Chloë can't get enough of? "Vintage t-shirts. I own, like, hundreds of really, really rad vintage t-shirts. That's, like, my one thing."

Especially when it's DVF's Hillary Clinton tee.

"I bought this leather jacket and I literally put it on with any outfit," Chloë told us. "You can go out to any restaurant, any date, and you can also dress it up and make it more of a midday thing."

"It can be walking art," Chloë said, talking about fashion. "People say don't judge a book by its cover, but if someone wears a crazy outfit, they're automatically a crazy person. If you wear a tame outfit, you're automatically a prude. You can be whoever you want through what you wear."

"I just try and dress in something that makes me feel like I'm being my best self," Chloë revealed. "Something that's comfortable that I can run around in, because I'm usually going all over LA and New York all day long running errands. I honestly just try and keep it comfortable and keep it low-key."

"Just put me in whatever is fun and interesting, things that I won't be able to wear when I'm 30," Chloë told Flare magazine.

She and ex-boyfriend Brooklyn Beckham wore matching Vans sneakers before.

While Chloë has admitted that her "proms are the premieres," she did wear a mini ballgown when her older brother went to his prom.

Painful high heels? Judging from her caption, Chloë has (literally) felt your pain.

"I do it because it's a body-confidence thing," Chloë said in a recent Glamour interview, partially in response to the whole Kim Kardashian Twitter feud. "I posted one in Mexico. I felt good, and I was wearing a bikini on a beach. It wasn't me sexualizing myself. It was with a beautiful background. When I posted it, I knew that there would be a lot of young women looking. So I made sure that it was tasteful . . . I get called prudish."

Even in a glamorous gown, Chloë couldn't resist that dog filter.

"I want my whole family — including my brothers — to be Britney Spears throughout the ages," the star once said in Seventeen magazine. "They'd never all do it with me, only one of my brothers would, but I would want to be 'Oops I Did It Again' Britney in the red jumpsuit."
