Freja Beja Erichsen Selected as J Brand's Fall 2009 Model

Fab Ad: J Brand, Fall '09

One of our favorite androgynous models, Freja Beja Erichsen, has been selected as the new face of J Brand. True, she sports fancy clothes on the catwalk, but since her street style is laid-back cool, this partnership makes sense. "We wanted people to look at the campaign and feel a sense of lightness and freedom," said Susie Crippen, cofounder and creative director. And Freja delivered just that with her wild leap and fits-like-a-glove jeans. Do you dig J Brand's Fall muse?

my comment is more on the model less on the ad itself,it struck me that she was 'impossible' thin. literally as light as a feather. but when i see this i see unattainable, disconnected, and fake.it feels like they're not even trying to hide it anymore. its not just this ad, im noticing more models in editorials and men's magazine's with weirdly unattractive proportions. i know the waif sickly look was in before, but i never experienced it. not sure if im just being extra sensitive about it lately? still this really shatters the fantasy of the fashion/magazine world

The new designs are awesome, and J Brand does a great job at designing and making clothes that fit all different body types. The model in this picture though is so skinny! I think the add would be more effective if the model was a more everyday type girl

I don't like it. The background color is all wrong.
