Friend or Foe 'Hooker' T-Shirt: Love It or Hate It?

Friend or Foe 'Hooker' T-Shirt: Love It or Hate It?

Here's a red hot t-shirt that could raise a few eyebrows. I always wonder about message t-shirts and how far some people take them. Not only is this shirt red and form-fitting but the message here is clear, or is it? Obviously Friend or Foe is trying to be cheeky because if you look closer the shirt is a tribute to the Jazz legend John Lee Hooker and his Boogie Chillun album. This controversial top is $56 and available here. I'd watch my step while wearing this shirt, would you dare? Love It or Hate It?

Its a great tee. Everyone, if you wouldn't wear any tee no need to weigh in on this. But my big gripe is with FabSugar. John Lee Hooker a "jazz" musician? Really? And what next Hank Williams a s beat poet? Where is your journalistic integrity? Blues. Mississippi Delta Blues. And no i'm not some crazy blues fan that is basic knowledge. Now go back out there and make me produ damnit!

I feel that people often judge you by the shirts you wear and the words on it. So I don't think I would even try to wear this. Not in public anyway. ____________________________________ Don't tick me off. Or you'll get it.

LOVE IT! Too cute! When other little girls wanted to be ballet dancers I kind of wanted to be a vampire. Angelina Jolie

this is way more tacky than my craziest college shirt that read "viva la vulva". at least that one was for the V Monologues.

I think there is a very limited age group that can wear this. I would say college kids could get away with it, but I would not want my daughter wearing it! LOL I don't think I could pull it off now, but I would have worn it in my single college days for the roar!

Nope, this is just a step away from those Hollister and A&F graphic tees... No thanks, I gather enough attention without Hooker plastered across my chest.

I think you should be very careful where you wear this shirt...I would advise against wearing it on the sunset strip.

If you are a fan of his music, I think it's alright to wear it. If you are insecure enough to wear the shirt because of it's sexual meaning, then I think you're ridiculous. You might as well just wear a shirt labeled "FUCK ME" in big block letters. I notice that many girls who wear these types of labeled shirts are just desperate for attention, negative or positive.

The splash of ironic humor only works (imo) if you're *actually* a John Lee Hooker fanatic. If you don't have authentic fondness for that music, I think it would make you look like a tacky, insipid, pseudo-hipster-wannabe. (I don't mean to sound snooty; I'm just a bit persnickety about this type of humor. It's witty and fabulous when used aptly, but we should absolutely understand the depth of the joke if we are going to make a thing of it, kwim? If I wore this (note: I wouldn't, 'cause it isn't my style -- of shirt or music), I would look like a jack*ss.)

I would wear it to a bachlorette party or birthday bash, but anywhere else just seems like it makes it ok for men to call women hookers.

lol I think it's pretty cute, I wouldn't buy it for a friend for sure, but for myself I'd wear it in certain situations

I'm not a big fan. Though I do own a tshirt I love that says hooker on it, however it's a fishing tshirt...lol

I disagree, it's suggestive but humourous at the same time. There's nothing too offensive, unless the person wearing it looks like...you know...a hooker! ___________ Brad

Personally I hate it, I think those shirts with sexually suggestive logos are tacky, but that is just IMO. :)
