Drama is nothing foreign for Giorgio Armani, and the Fall 2014 Haute Couture show was packed with it. On today's runway, Armani Privé had us seeing red — in only the best way possible — with shocks of scarlet enhancing the black and white collection (because, with a trio that bold, no additional colors are needed!). In a subtle transition from sophisticated daywear to futuristic cocktail attire and elegant eveningwear, the D'une Boite Laquée collection was an exciting escape from start to finish.
Texture played as much a role as color, and whether you were admiring sculpted tulle veils, highly embellished illusion necklines, or 3D vests, Armani Privé had thrills at every turn. But no turn was as thrilling as the last one, when Armani defined the phrase "grand finale" with a showstopping closer that paired a regal red gown with a topper so voluminous the model's arms were lost in the fray. Intrigued? Allow Mr. Armani to show you how it's done.
