H&M's Conscious Denim Collection Is About Way More Than Just Great Jeans

H&M is furthering its commitment to sustainability with the debut of its Conscious Denim Collection, launching Oct. 2. Much like the label's Conscious Collections of seasons past, the denim in this lineup has been carefully crafted to reduce its impact on the environment. With an effort to use more-sustainable materials and by working with Spanish-based denim consultants Jeanologia, the brand was able to assess the environmental impact of the washes and dyes used on all the line's denim pieces, including energy and water use. And, to ensure that its customers continue to take a thoughtful approach to the environment — even after purchase — H&M includes a Clever Care label with tips on how to reduce waste with smart washing/cleaning methods.

Of course, beyond the obvious eco-conscious appeal, this lineup is also stocked with the fast-fashion set's take on cool-girl trends — think affordable Fall essentials, like boyfriend jeans and overalls, plus a fresh spin on new denim favorites, like an indigo sweatshirt and a denim pencil skirt.
