Shipping to Quebec used to be 20 bucks or so, which is pretty high but not so bad if you buy a few different pieces at once. It's now between 40-50 CAD, and that's not even counting the tax! It makes me sad, I wish they'd just use USPS and not expensive UPS. :( Dubn8tr 5 years For the last two years or so, I try to only shop at places that either offer free shipping (Amazon/Endless) or have free shipping over a certain amount (Nordstrom). It absolutely PAINS me to pay shipping from Anthropologie b/c I think they do theirs by how much you buy. Also, some websites have codes for VS free shipping. I would post it, but I don't wanna get in trouble :-) Charblit 5 years Whiplash is right! The very few times there's a mega-reduced item I want from Topshop, the shipping makes it not worth ordering anymore. SDTransplant 5 years On a related note, sometimes I end up spending more just to qualify for free shipping, especially on Amazon. Free super saver shipping is great, but I don't always want to spend a minimum of $25! And I agree about VS, which is why I've only ever bought from them twice online and prefer to go into their stores. sugarplumfairy 5 years i agree about ikea. i wanted a tv stand but the shipping was more than the stand. i've also seen stuff i want from europe but the shipping is outrageous, like 85$ for sunglasses. i've also wanted to order from topshop but i have no idea my size and what really sucks is when you have to return ship something back! neonbee 5 years Oh yes, especially since I live in Canada. US prices and duties and all that drives me crazy. 5 years Tons of sites offer free shipping, or at least a percentage off. J.Crew and Anthropologie are the worst! fashionplate525 5 years Yes, definitely. I would totally purchase items from stores in other countries except the shipping is often more expensive than the item itself. Also once on Ebay there was this amazing blazer I wanted for like $60 bucks and the shipping was $50! What the heck?! qtpie 5 years Yes all the time, everything from the US costs like $35+ (which is like NZD$50) to ship overseas, it's so annoying! 5 years At times but Bleu Clothing.com gives you free shipping for purchases over 250 and I love it! Yogaforlife 5 years I hate shipping fees. I went to order a collectors case for an autographed bat I had purchased as a x-mas gift for my hubby last year. The shipping rate was $120 - more than the case! Why on earth would I pay more for shipping than the cost of the item being shipped. And the VS prices kill me. You could put those thongs in an envelope and slap a stamp on it yet they want to charge how much to ship a panty? I swear flat rates are designed so as to bring added income in. xlove33 5 years it especially sucks when you can ONLY buy the item online. I have to buy talls in almost everything and they never carry that stuff in stores. I think it should be free for special sizing or any items not carried in retail stores. It's not my fault they don't put it in stores, i have no options! mommie 5 years Me too, I look at the shipping and say to myself can I go to the store to get it. Going to the store is always cheaper but sometimes it takes me longer to go there. Beauty 5 years All the time. I am cheap, what can I say? myystque 5 years I agree with esweet--that's why I love shopping for shoes online from Endless, Piperlime, and Zappos. The only thing I don't understand is why all the shoe websites offer shipping but none of the clothing retailers do. I usually won't pay any more than $8 or $9 for shipping unless I really, really love the item. weffie 5 years Being in Canada stops me from ordering a lot of things... not only do US companies charge higher rates to send stuff here, but we also end up paying duty and sometimes import taxes, so it ends up costing way more than it's worth. Zivanod 5 years I find e-Commerce sites within Canada to be a little behind the times so if I were to shop online, I'd do it to get items from the States. However, there is the "Great Shipping Wall" of Canada where shipping costs often increase too dramatically to make anything affordable from the States. It's a shame too because I'd buy more. WhatTheFrockBlog 5 years Sometimes. I've wanted to buy so many things from Topshop but always refrained because shipping from the UK is so expensive. I finally broke down a few weeks ago after I found the perfect handbag, though. suzannedefexxx 5 years Off course it has stopped me btw, this morning this online shop didnt stop me hahaha http://www.mercedessalazar.com its perfect, jewelry for unique souls this is hillarious cause eraly I was thinking which shop online have stopped me from purchasing something and I cant even remember which ones!!! esweet 5 years VS is bad, but J Crew is the WORST. Who wants to pay $18 or $20 for shipping?? That is so much! I LOVE Zappos and Piperlime for shoes because they are free shipping and free returns! 5 years Ikea is the worst about shipping fees. It was going to cost me double the price of the item for shipping. smiley13tree 5 years I agree! I always get super excited when I see free shipping codes because if it's cheaper than in store without shipping, why buy online? I know there are products exclusively online, but it's not worth my money. haha shoegal1001 5 years I especially hate stores with flat-rate shipping. Paying nine dollars for shipping two tiny swimsuits from VS is no fun.
