Dresses would come back stinking of smoke/booze/perfume/BO, with deodorant caked into the armpits, and the women would say to me, "What? The tags are still on it!" And there's no way we can sell something on the floor in that condition - it has to be sent back as a damaged item. So, anyone who says "I'm just borrowing it", you're not, you're stealing it, because while you may not have the garment anymore, that store you 'borrowed' it from has lost an item and the chance to actually make a sale. Plus the girl that sold it to you, if those sales people get commissions, just lost her commission. So I guess you're 'borrowing' from her paycheck, too. If you can't afford something, don't buy it. 5 years i have once i needed a dress for a dinner like asap so i went to the mall and got one and returned it b/c i knew i'd never wear it again fashionplate525 5 years No, for me the fun in buying something is knowing you can wear it again! 5 years yes i have. i cant afford to buy the items i want so every now and again i borrow from the stores. ayuninur 5 years I would never do this. lizlee89 5 years I would never do this because it's stealing! It doesn't surprise me when teens do it because they're young and stupid (no offense to any teens out there; it's just that I was a teen only a couple years ago and all my friends did this), but for any adult to do this is not only tacky but wrong and a little pathetic... 5 years I'll admit I have. But RARELY, and the only time I can think of was recently for Halloween. It was a huge red coat from Target for my costume and it wasn't something I'd wear again in my regular wardrobe. It was only $40, but it was in great condition when I returned it. I only wore it for 2 hours. Everything else I've bought with the intention to wear and keep. nikkisoda 5 years No way! I would hate if I ended up being the one that bought the garment after someone else already wore it out! Terrible. AlexisSF 5 years no — TACKY neonbee 5 years I bought a pair of grey jeans I liked, but then I saw two other pairs I liked more two days later, I ended up returning the grey ones. skigurl 5 years it's never really occurred to me...what would you do with the tags? soapbox 5 years I would never. If you can't afford to keep it, don't buy it. There's always cheaper options out there. aphill4 5 years hahaha- Laua220- I made the same mistake! Merlin713 5 years Wow. After re-reading this question (and voting wrong) I finally realized what you were asking. It's been a long day already! I would never do this. Even though I voted yes, but that was before I actually understood the question. Stupid Mondays. :coffee: Zivanod 5 years I wish I could but I don't think I have it in me. fribblesandyoko 5 years Nope. However, I've bought several dresses or shirts that wind up sitting in my closet for a week or 2 with tags on them and never get worn so I end up returning them. vinnie 5 years I might if I thought I could get away with it! :) But I've never actually done that.
