Emes- Thats so funny, I'm currently looking for a part time job but I tend to lean towards the stores I'd shop in. The discount is def. a plus, but then I'd spend my whole paycheck! haha.

last year i was shopping at hollister co. and they asked if i wanted to work there. i thought, why not, i get a 30% discount and 50% on two featured tops n a featured bottom every month. i spent way more than i should have and did not enjoy working there haha

Guilty...when I was in HS, I worked for a shop whose clothes I liked...the job was crap though, and I ended up having to borrow money from my parents to pay for my "hold bag" of clothes that I had had on hold forever. Not exactly fiscally responsible!

yea i took a part-time job for extra money to shop and go out with- so since i knew i'd be spending the money on clothes, i made sure the job was at a store where i'd get a good discount on stuff i wore!

I did :) I worked @ Guess for a couple months...then one time I missed a shift because I had commitments @ my REAL job and they took away my employee discount "privledge" soooo I quit :)

I once worked at a retail store for the discount. But now I don't really like their stuff. Once you spend time unpacking 20 of something from a box, hanging, steaming, picking them up off the floor, refolding, etc. they just lose their appeal.

That is how the job started - I focused on looking for jobs only at stores I would enjoy working for. The discount rocked...I still calculate prices out of habit in the store to reflect my discount.

yes I once worked in a luxury shoe shop. Well the main reason was to make a few extra £s, however I only targeted shops that would offer discounts and whose items I wore :-) Quit the job eventually; discovered the discount was a scam and the pay and my efforts were not commensurate.

I worked on a boutique during summer school holidays, when I was a student, and surely enjoyed using the discount.
