They've actually banned plastic bags, so we have to bring our own bags or buy a reusable one at the counter. 6 years I'd been looking at the envirosax bags for awhile but always thought they were too pricey. Once I found Envirosax coupons with free shipping to boot, it pushed me over the edge and I've been reusable ever since. Even bought a few for friends because they're always complaining they have drawers full of plastic bags they don't know what to do with... now to get them to recycle those :) 98769876 6 years My dad got me the coolest Frida Kahlo shopping bags in Mexico. They are unlike any bags I've seen in the states. People always lust over them. sundaygreen 6 years They made a law here (South Africa) in 2001 that people had to start paying for plastic bags at supermarkets to cut down on pollution - and after that a lot of people bought reusable bags and started using them. So yes, when I remember my bags (I usually just keep them in the car), I prefer to use them to plastic. nals33 6 years I usually remember at the check out line. :( Unless it's my Sephora tote. lol Glittersniffer 6 years I bought the canvas totes that my grocery store sold (they went to the fiber plastic type, which I like less), and I'm usually very good at keeping up with taking them with me. I too forgot them sometimes, so when I finish unloading, I hang the bags on the handrail at my stairs. That helps me not forget! I also re-use the plastic ones for my trash cans, so if I am going for a small trip and don't have my bags, I don't cry. I also hang onto some for when I've got my parents' dog and need to do poop patrol. Paper bags get used for when I'm cleaning out my gerbil's tank. Always a use for things! emalove 6 years When I remember...I'm getting better at it. We bought a bunch at our grocery store and are starting to keep them in the car, so we don't forget to bring them! dcfashionista 6 years I have the target one that folds and zips and fits into my purse. Sometimes I still forget to use it. mstrauss 6 years Oh man, I always forget to bring my reusable bags! Every time I go to Trader Joes, I keep meaning to bring back the paper bags to use but, of course, they just sit in my pantry waiting...I do always have an extra bag with me at work and I use that sometimes when I shop during the work day. syako 6 years Yeah that's true about the envirosax!! They roll up and snap so you can tuck them away in your purse. That way I always have at least one with me. :) jjkendall 6 years I LOVE my envirosax bags!!! They roll up nice and small, I can only fit one or two into my small Coach handbag, but my larger Lucky purse I can fit as many as I want. I give these out as presents to my friends. They're great and I always get compliments. By keeping them in my purse I always have at least one with me for unexpected errands. chlobear 6 years I have reusable bags for when I buy new reusable bags. I have so many now! My favorites are from Muji and Baggu. I saw these new Big Baggus on the site and cute produce pouches too.. I think I'm going to buy me a few of those, I hate using so many plastic bags when I'm shopping for produce. ImJessica 6 years Yep. I almost always use the reusable bags for grocery shopping. It doesn't usually work out logistically for clothes or other kind of shopping, though. superstar2780 6 years I have two reusable giant eagle bags for grocery shopping. but I kind of miss having plastic bags for my trash! haha Schoolhouse 6 years Mine makes me happy, It says 'Make Friends' it's pretty sweet but it's starting to come apart at one seam. :[ soulight 6 years I bought a very cute tote bag from Forever 21 that I try to remember to take when I go shopping but sometimes my boyfriend will spring a grocery trip on me and I'm totally unprepared. Marni7 6 years My roomate and I have accumulated like 5 reusable bags from the store..those brightly colored ones. I try to use them whenever I can but sometimes I go grocery shopping from another location and not from home, so I have started leaving a couple in my car GreenSkittlesGal 6 years Doesn't anyone else use the plastic bags to line their trash cans? I do that and so I dont plan to switch to re-usable. hamburgesque 6 years Yes, I live in Europe and we've always done it the "green way"... Talldiva45 6 years Yes I do! But I do it when grocery shopping now...slowly but surely Ii hope to do it for all my shopping. amloveaffair 6 years Where's the 'No and I'm not going to' answer? lemamike 6 years They are green AND so much easier. I live in a dorm and it's so much easier to use those bags because i can fit 3 times as much as plastic bags and don't have to make trips out to the car. marulmani 6 years I've been using my own grocery and tote bags for over 20 years. I have a great collection! atsirK 6 years i can never remember to take them out the door with me!! Punk-Glam-Queen 6 years I've been using my own grocery and tote bags for over 20 years.
