Hi, it's Allison McNamara and you're watching Fab Flash at New York Fashion Week. I went backstage at the Herve Leger runway show, where I caught up with designer Luba Azria, who told me how their signature bandage dress became iconic. Actually, Rachel Zoe one day came in and she wanted to dress her celebrities in it. And so we opened our library and she went in and she picked out a bunch of dresses and then she started dressing her "it" girls in it. And then there was a huge demand for it that we didn't expect because we wanted a slow launch of the collection. And so then it just went through the roof. Luba always finds a way to reinvent the bandage dress each season. And for fall, she looked to horseback riders for inspiration. Well, we started with equestrian theme. You know, we really thought it would be kind of luxurious, yet controlled and sexy and all those wonderful, wonderful things that can be associated with it. It worked the best in accessories, like in shoes and in harnesses that you're going to see down the runway. And then for the dresses, we wanted to really work with couture so we have so many new things this season. Like, we have tweed bandages that we actually bead by hand. You know, we have a pleated effect which were created with bandages. We have fringe studying, I mean, I think this collection is a little bit more rock 'n' roll and a little bit edgier than I think a lot of other collections that we've done. So, it's really exciting. It 's no secret that Lubov and Max Azria are amazing designers, but I found out a few of Lubov's hidden talents. Well, you know, I was a ballerina when I was in Ukraine. That's where I'm from and I think just the whole, I realized that I spend more time in a costume area than I did dancing. I think it was a true calling. Make sure to watch the entire Herve Leger runway show and come back here for more coverage from New York Fashion Week. I'm Allison McNamara and I'll see you next time on Fab Flash on Fab Sugar TV.
