I have cut them up so that i don't use them and am in the process of paying them all off, NEVER to be used again. So easy to fall on them when times get tough financially! TammyFir 7 years One. It's a convenience. I would never want to be one of those people that have to ask others to do me a favor regarding anything that required a credit card. buffyrulez 7 years i don't have any credit cards because i'm too young. but when i'll be adult... leeluvfashion 7 years None. I want to have just 1 because of how easy it is to be in debt; however I just haven't gone for one. Daisie 7 years Oh! I used to have a Mastercard and 3 store cards, but I cancelled them all! Store cards have HORRID percentage rates! Daisie 7 years mabess, I could NEVER get a Target card! It would be my downfall! I have 2 cards, a Discover and a Visa. I try not to use them unless I am broke or feel like I need the protection. I use my debit card a lot more. stephanie-plum 7 years i used to have 3 and a store one but then i cut one up 2 months ago and i plan to cut the store one up soon. so i'll only have 2 soon. not in any debt but i'm learning that it's very easy to fall into that hole with a credit card gruaig_rua 7 years One credit card that I try not to use much and a debit card I use mainly for petrol :( jaeshizzle 7 years none! after college i vowed to never get one & haven't buckled yet!! =) poetess 7 years 2 major cards and 2 store cards. pollypo 7 years I'ts actually not good to not have a credit card - that means you have no credit history and good luck buying a car or a house, etc. Better to have none than a ton of debt on one, but the best thing is to have a good payment history on a couple. Sorry, we're getting a new mortgage so I've got credit on the brain! renaimarie 7 years I have one that I'm working on paying back (on-time every month, of course!), and I'm contemplating getting a Nordstrom card. kungfubunni 7 years i have no balances, but the store cards are good in case they have member only sales, then you get the discount and pay in full when the bill comes! i worked for a CC comp in college so i know how crazy people can get. it was a great learning experience! rubialala 7 years Five, and they started to own me and now I'm in trouble so I stopped using them until I can own them again and I will be cutting up a few. :( PrissyLilBadAss 7 years Hehehe, I agree with Char. But I have a Visa and then 4 store credit cards. They're evil. Savvy1 7 years I love my nordstrom card. They give me a $20 gift certificate just for buying stuff there. Gotta love it! I have quite a few credit cards but only use two. I can't imagine not having one. I travel too much so using cash or a debit card is not practical. (what if it gets stolen? you'd be screwed!) Especially for international travel. My company requires me to get the company credit card because the travel protection is really great. I've had credit cards since I was 16 (that my parents paid the bill for). Because of that, I have extremely good credit. Having a credit card when your young is not a bad thing. Just be responsible. Having multiple credit cards is actually good for your credit. You just need to have the self control. blackjade 7 years I have 3 - but I only have a balance on one of them. tinkerbelle76 7 years Having credit cards isn't bad. Having credit card debt is bad. Part of your credit score is determined on how much credit you have available to you, and how much you have borrowed. Beauty 7 years Bellatrix, I haven't been to Paris in a couple of years, so my memory's a bit rusty, but I think Vannuccia is correct. A carte bancaire is a debit card, while a carte de credit is a credit card.
