panties and socks only after one wear ofcourse, and tops maybe two times, I don't sweat really unless made such a huge effort lol..

it depends - if they're sweaty or stained I'll wash right away, if not, I'll wear 2 or 3 times before I wash it - more for dresses, coats, or stuff I've only worn for a very short period of time...

Everything I wear is washed, even my jeans. To tell you the honest truth, I don't even know how to use a washing machine. Ha!

Sometimes I throw on something for a couple hours and wear it again the next day. Undies and socks are washed after every use no matter what. Jeans are 2-3 wears depending. They last longer that way.

I am the first to admit I am a dirty college kid. The only thing I wash after one wear is underwear and most of the time socks. Everything else depends on when it is dirty. I can't afford to wash all my clothes every time I wear them mostly because I wouldn't be able to afford replacing the clothes the washing machine wears out. If I do get a spill on me (salt stains in the winter are the biggest issue) I just throw the item in the sink with some soap.

All my clothes get washed...eventually. I am the first to admit to being a dirty college kid. Socks and underwear get one wear but everything is good to go again (things tend not to get dirty sitting in lecture). And besides, I am too broke to afford to do that much laundry every time let alone having to go out and buy new clothes because the washer killed them all.

I agree with Anabella, it's very damaging to your clothes to wash them after each use so, excluding undies and socks, I would keep most things in rotation for two or three wears before washing them, jeans even more wears, then they go into the basket, and I let that stuff build up until I have nothing to wear, and then i wash everything... a black wash, a colour wash and a white wash, each on a 30 degree, 30 minute cycle, get everything air or radiator dried overnight, then restock my wardrobe for the cycle to start all over again. Plenty of things can be aired after one wear to freshen them up a bit and unnecessary washing, unnecessarily long or hot washing cycles and tumble drying is a very unnecessary waste of energy!!

I live in Florida and it is hot. I have going out clothes and house clothes. Going out clothes gets washed more often b/c of where I may have been in it. I used to not wash house clothes as much and some going out clothes, but I have a new dog that is always all over me. I tend to wash pretty much everything after one wear b/c I don't feel like going out smelling like a dog.

T-shirts, undershirts, socks, underwear wash after 1 use Bras, wash after 2 uses jeans/pants wash after 2 or 3 uses Sweaters - depends on how dirty they get- I don't like washing them too often because I don't want them worn out. Washing clothes is obviously a must, but it uses so much water and energy I try to be a little eco friendly

I wear my clothes for only 1-4 hours a day because I don't have very many classes, so I re-wear my jeans and tees an extra time (hoodies, too). If I spend more than six hours in my clothes or I go somewhere that smells, they're put in the hamper. I wear flip flops, so I don't wear socks, but underwear definitely get put in the hamper every night. I go through two when I just feel gross. I have to pay $3.50 for every load of clothes I do...That's too wasteful!

Socks and underwear are the only things I wash after one wear. Everything else I try to go as long as I can without washing it. I don't smoke and I don't have B.O., so my clothes don't smell if they're not washed. If I spill something or go to a place where people are smoking, then obvious I will wash an item. But even in the latter case, a little smoke can usually be obilerated with Febreeze (although I actually don't care for the smell of Febreeze -- have to admit it works well, though and it's better than smelling of smoke). I'm not ashamed to admit my washing schedule. Infrequent washing is better for your clothes, better for the environment and easier on the wallet.

LOL. Oh man. I've been wondering exactly how many times I should wear an article of clothing before I should wash it...and I was wondering about everyone else's habits too. Well. This is convenient.Underwear/socks = 1 wear, obviously.Everything else = as long as I can get away with. If it looks clean and smells clean, it's clean dammit.Washing your clothes too often might kill the material/colour/whatever anyways. And as some of you said previously, it's really wasteful too. What ever happened to being eco chic people?

I've always wondered this about people! I only do laundry about once a month because I have an insane amount of underlovlies and I just can't get with making my clothes look all old from washing all the time.

Undies and socks I wash after every wear, but everything else really depends. Tops I'll usually wear 1-3 times before washing (depending on how dirty they get/how long I wear them), sweaters a little less often, jeans can go several wears before needing a wash, and jackets/coats I rarely wash unless I spill something on them or I notice they are getting terribly dirty.

I'll wear my jeans a few times before washing, unless they are dirty or stretched out. Undies and socks are washed after every use, but I usually wear bras a few times before they get done. Tees are usually only worn once, unless I didn't wear it long. Then everything else that isn't directly against my skin is washed when needed.
