Hey, it's Allison McNamara, and in today's installment of "Currently Trending," I'm gonna show you how to wear spring's sporty trend. Designers including Alexander Wang, Rag & Bone, and Marc by Marc Jacobs were all about athleticism for spring 2012, inspiring us to try out this trend ourselves. So today I'm here at Barney's New York in Beverly Hills to show you how to slide right into sporty ensembles this season. For our first outfit, we started off with a blue and grey stripe top that's structured and has a neoprene feel. We followed our top with a pair of chic track shorts yes, track short. The front is made out of suede polish but the back is made out of cotton which had a sporty feel. We wanted to toughen up the entire look so in bottom, we added a black lace with studs that lend edge. We finished off the outfit with a coral color lip and a two tone ring. Another easy way to wear the sporty trend is with a track pant. Here we selected a classic black pant updated with brown stripes down the side. They're flattering and they're not too ominous forties. You can wear them for work or a night out. We punched up the pants with a heavy dose of color with a bright neon top and added in a lady-like feel with a classic black pump. We finished off the outfit with a metallic clutch and a pair of gold earrings. For our final outfit we went for a super sexy take on the sporty look. We started off with a black, neoprene bodied suit that reminds us of a wet suit, and we love the zipper detailing down the front. We made this great for a night out by pairing it with a gray high-waisted pencil skirt. It's important to remember to pair it with a pencil skirt and not a mini skirt if otherwise, you'll be showing off way too much skin. This is definitely a body calm look but it's really flattering because it holds everything in. We added in a final element of sporty with a rope belt and then finished off the outfit with a really cool shoe. Whether you prefer an updated track pant or a sexy neoprene body suit, we hope today's episode taught you a thing or two about this season's sporty trend. I'm Allison McNamara. See you next time on "Currently Trending" on Fab Sugar TV.
