J.Crew University Pants: Love It or Hate It?

J.Crew at ShopStyle

I usually wear metallics up top, but these J. Crew University Pants ($149, originally $298) have wooed me to look the other way. I'm smitten with the tailored shape and liquid silver finish. Timeless yet funky. What do you say?

You totally have to imagine these with a different sweater.

Love em. Anything metallic from J. Crew is good.

I don't think I could pull these off but I know at least one person who could.

these are fabulous, but only for the right woman who can pull this off

funky? yes. timeless? I'm not sure you can say that. I don't hate them, but I don't think I could ever wear them...

I kind of think they're more "holiday-ish". But, I wouldn't spend the money for one-time pair of pants.

I don't know...something draws me to them but at the same time, I think, "metallic pants?"

I could see myself wearing this to a holiday party or a club.. just pair it with a solid matte black or red.. or purple.. okay, ANY solid matte color.. add a little flower brooch... Okay, now I have to catch these pants on sale!

I really like them, which surprises me :) Would for fun for a holiday party with a simple black top and black pumps

Not with that top on the model, but I really like them.

absolutely adore them. you could really tone them down for work with a nice black top, I think ;) Def one of those things you have to 'be able to pull off' though.

It's way too much metallic for me. It reminds me of an 80s track suit you'd see down in Boca. It would be cute as shorts though.

I think these would be great for a holiday dinner party of just a gathering with a simple top. I love the tailored fit and the silver metallic color!
