J.Crew launched its first bridal collection in 2004, and six years later the all-American retailer is upping its wedding focus with a two story, Madison Avenue destination for brides-to-be. The one-stop dream shop for the recently engaged offers more than a lineup of white evening dresses. There are bridal jewels designed by Dana Lorenz, Miriam Haskel, and Lulu Frost; headpieces by Albertus Swanepoel; limited edition nail polishes by Essie; honeymoon-ready lingerie by Cosabella; and a new collection of sparkling cocktail dresses that work just as well for guests as they do for bridesmaids. Future brides take note to schedule early—more than 350 appointments have already been booked in the private dress boutique.
