If there's a run on sparkle, it's because Jenny Packham took it all and used it in her Fall 2014 collection. There was metallic glitter tulle and Swarovski-scattered mesh lace, crystal-encrusted cashmere knits and bejeweled spaghetti straps — and that wasn't even the flashy stuff. Her trademark eveningwear got a bling-ified upgrade courtesy of her lavish accessories collection, which featured dramatic rings, stacked bracelets, opulent earrings, and choker necklaces, all in rich jewel tones. Oversize gems also found their way onto multicolored headbands and belts, where they took on hypnotic floral motifs.
But it wasn't all so glittery. Sharp, wide-legged tailored trousers added smart, high-octane glamour that made clear why the designer's muse this season was 1970s icon Bianca Jagger. And the final look, a feathered full-length coat, made a mod yet bold statement that we'd love to see one of Packham's fashion-forward fans wear on the red carpet.
