Juicy Couture Wedge Loafer: Love It or Hate It?

I often find myself puzzled or appalled by Juicy Couture, but it's usually because the velour track suits and pom-pom-laden purses look better suited to preteens than grown women. This Juicy Couture Crepe Wedge Loafer, however, suffers from an entirely different problem. The stodgy brown leather, pebbled rubber, and old-school lacing make this shoe look more like something a grandmother would wear, minus the considerably high heel. It's hard to believe this is Juicy, but sure enough, you can buy the shoes for $275 here. What do you guys think about this style? Tell me if you love it or hate it?

Eh.... kinda funky, so it's cool, but I myself wouldn't wear them. Depends on the wearer, I guess.

those will be the loafers i will wear when im 60yrs. i don't think loafers are nice, or i just haven't found the right pair, you never know.

Oooh I like them, I think they're pretty. I love loafer-type shoes. I have a pair and they match with so much and are really comfy.

My friend has a pair of similar shoes, and they look really cute on. I saw the same shoes off, and thought, yuck! But on, they are pretty cute, with jeans, etc.

I hate them in picture, but I think they'd look better being worn with a cute earth-toned outfit

i have a pair of black wedge loafers from target from a year ago and i love them. they are comfy and a little schoolgirlish though still tall. THESE on the other hand, no. I don't like the pebbled beige wedge with the brown shiny leather. they look cheap.

i love them, these are super cute.

I have seen better versions of the loafer wedge. I think the shoelaces cheapen them

This is a very "un-juicy" style, and besides that, this style of shoe was in fashion about 3 years ago. I have a purple pair, but now they make me feel like a nurse. I'm sure the right person could pull them off with skinny jeans a a cute sweater-vest....

They look cheap with the rubber, but I do say that I *almost* considered buying something similar until I realized how uncomfortable/ impractacle they would be walking from one side of campus to the other. ~M~

Minus the pebbled rubber, I think they're really cute. Love the laces!

I guess they aren't that bad, but a wedge? It is an ugle wedge! ew! I'm all in.

These are actually more boat shoe/deck shoe wedges than loafer wedges. Boat shoes have become increasingly popular down here in the southeast, they were all over the place at FSU, in a multitude of colors. I myself have a coral pair. I've never seen one with a wedge... but I think they'd do quite well here, except for maybe the high price point. Sperrys (the ultimate authentic boat shoe) only run about $75, and a definate part of the appeal is comfort, which these probably don't have. It's for sure a departure from Juicy's signature west-coast style! ----------- “Buy me a dream: Shopping for clothes isn’t about the things you need, it’s about the woman you’ll become when you wear them.”
