Kate Winslet Wears Sheer Stella McCartney Dress in New York City

Love It or Hate It: Kate Winslet Wears Stella McCartney Fall '11 Runway Dress

Just yesterday we noted Kate Winslet embracing her girly side in a flirty frock, but last night she went sleek and sexy in a sheer cutout Stella McCartney dress. Talk about straight off the runway; that same dress was worn by model Natasha Poly earlier this month at the Stella McCartney Fall 2011 show! It's a daring dress, and a risque sartorial choice, because you show some serious skin in the body-hugging silhouette. What do you think?

This is the first time I've seen this dress that it actually looks good.  The style keeps popping up in everyone, in long-sleeved and one long-sleeve/one sleeveless, both long and short and one with an asymmetrical hem.  I've mostly seen it an a gawd-awful red/white pattern.  Kate looks gorgeous in it, but I do hope this is the last time I see it on anyone.

I'm not loving it on her. This dress adds curves to a slim/straight woman, a woman with as much curves as Kate looks a little awkward in it.

I love her bravery, and I think she can pull this off. Polka-dots are coming from the Fall 2011 runways, and she is right on trend. I think black keeps it a little safer - although there's not much safe about this!
