It's been a banner Summer for all of us, but we'd venture to guess that the Kardashian brood had the best Summer of anyone. Why? Well, Kim had the wedding of the century (again). Kourtney announced she was pregnant (again), and after a rocky end to her marriage, Khloé bounced back with a new love affair . Even the Jenner girls — honorary Kardashians in our book — had a good run with a joint book tour and a slew of cohosting gigs.
But if you're keeping up with them like we are, you know that, in terms of fashion, this season was all about Kim and Kendall. Kim used daily dressing as an excuse to model edgy, Kanye-approved couture looks, and Kendall's new place as a serious fashion model has turned her into a red carpet pro overnight. So who came out on top this Summer? That's your call.
Who Wore Sheer Black Better?
Both sisters wear a lot of black, and with their mutual penchant for sexy finishes, it's no surprise they both opted for sheer black tops.
Who Wore a Structured Mini Better?
When it comes to a seriously sculpted minidress, it's no surprise both sisters prefer to wear Balmain — Kim is good friends with the house's creative director, Olivier Rousteing.
Who Wore a Graphic Tee Better?
Although sometimes their gym-bound looks would suggest otherwise, the sisters don't always dress like they are on their way to a red carpet. We love that they'll let loose in vintage band tees. While Kim opted for Chicago, Kendall was more in the mood for AC/DC.
Who Wore White Better?
Because it's near impossible to compete with Kim's custom Givenchy wedding dress, we thought it more fair to pit her white plunging Maison Martin Margiela rehearsal dinner gown against Kendall's menswear-inspired jumpsuit.
Who Wore Cleavage-Baring Blue Better?
Cleavage baring is a regular pastime for Kim, but Kendall was a quick study this Summer, particularly in her neon blue shirtless Teele pantsuit.
Who Wore Side Cutouts Better?
A high slit is such a boring way to show skin these days. That's why these sisters have gone to great lengths to find untapped potential in their clothes' cutouts. Case in point: Kim's daring jumpsuit and Kendall's Olcay Gulsen ensemble.
Who Wore an Embellished Gown Better?
And as much as they often err on the sexy side, they aren't afraid to opt for the avant-garde. Kim opted for a Balmain dress crafted from rope for a yacht party, and Kendall chose a bejeweled Fausto Puglisi gown that was the latest in a trend toward exposed hip bones .
Who Wore Black and White Better?
These sisters certainly know their stripes. Instead of going for a head-to-toe printed look, both Kim and Kendall appreciate offsetting a bold black-and-white piece with something more basic. For Kim, that was pairing her Balmain skirt with a black leather crop top, and for Kendall, this Chanel dress was the perfect balance.
Who Wore Denim Better?
When it comes to street style, these two couldn't be more dissimilar. Never one to wear flats, Kim keeps her casual look sophisticated with skinny jeans and lace-up heels, while Kendall goes full-on downtown with distressed denim and motorcycle boots.
Who Wore a Black Skirt Set Better?
LBDs are too boring for these two. Instead, they both take the opportunity to wear black skirt-and-top sets. Not only that, but they each give their pencil skirts some added interest with a sheer lace overlay.
Now, the Moment of Truth. Who Had the Best Summer?
Judging from all their most memorable Summer looks, who had the best style?
