I agree with soapbox. The "real women" campaign is rather insulting. A woman is a woman despite her weight.

Who approved this? Just because I'm a size 0, doesn't mean I'm boy-like and abnormal. That's just the way my body is, not matter how much I eat. I'm tired of this whole "real women" campaign. Sure, it has good intentions, but it's just a bit insulting. We come in all shapes in sizes and no shape is better than the other.

I think the fact that the two networks did not air the commercial is actually a compliment(a very indirect compliment) to curvy women. They couldn't air it because it was too sexy to show voluptuous women in their underwear, yet they air the tiny, almost boy-like women in VS. Take it as a compliment, I sure do.

Also being curvy has nothing to do with size. You can be shaped like a tube and be chubby and you can be thin and have big differences in you chest, waist and bust. Heidi Klum is thin, but you can't deny how curvy she is.

I actually think the Lane Bryant ad is a bit unfair. I think the VS models are pretty healthy sized women, thinner tall women, but healthy. They have muscle tone and all of their ribs aren't showing. It's one thing to be angry at the tv station, but I don't see the point in attacking VS. It feels like by extension they are attacking women who do shop there and I don't think I should have to feel bad about having a 32 band size. In fact I would love if VS carried 30's in the bigger cup sizes. Though side not, my ribs do show a bit and I'm not super skinny (I'm about 5'4" and a size 6). I just don't carry very much body fat on my rib cage.
