oops! i apologize for posting potential misinformation - after reading some articles, it looks like there's a debate about average size - some say 8, some say 12. i guess my point is if we're not going to be hypocritical, shouldn't runways look more like dove beauty campaign ads? with a diversity of body sizes and weights but all of whom look healthy?

i know it's a super controversial topic, but i don't like that the author called rosemary masic judgmental. not saying masic doesn't have an obvious double standard, but it was unnecessarily rude to her. i'm adverse to skinny models on the runway as much as anyone else, but if they're not a 00, why do they have to be a plus size model at 14? i know that's a natural size for some women (both the 00 and the 14), but if we're talking about promoting a healthy body image, shouldn't we ACTUALLY promote a healthy body image? and i thought 8 used to be the average woman..and considered a healthy size? why do we never see women in that size range?
