After sitting out the Olympic Games and the US Open due to an injury, Maria Sharapova has had time to think about her life, post-tennis.
"I have a passion for fashion and if I weren’t playing tennis, I’d probably be in school for it or for interior design," said the tennis star. Her latest collaboration with Cole Haan exemplifies her passion. On top of being the face of its new Cole Haan Sporting series, which is owned by Nike, the budding fashionista will also play a role in the design of the line’s second season for Fall 2009. Not bad.
The Cole Haan Sporting collection features stylish wedges, flats, and sandals while incorporating Nike comfort technology. Accessories include tennis bags, duffels, and clutches, which are all created from recycled materials. Prices range from $115 to $550.
