Maria Sharapova Wears Stella McCartney at 2008 US Open USTA/Heineken Premium Light Official Players Party

Celebrity Style: Maria Sharapova

Most of you didn't approve of Maria Sharapova's one-sleeve Lanvin dress, but I think you'll like this mandarin-tiered Stella McCartney number she wore to a recent event. It reveals her gorgeous legs but in a tasteful manner. I like how instead of wearing peep-toe pumps, like many celebs do on the red carpet, she chose unexpected black patent oxford pumps. A textured minaudiere and gold jewels finish off the look perfectly.

The dress is very flattering on her, and I agree that it compliments her coloring nicely. I wouldn't wear the shoes with that outfit, but they are awful cute. I just can't get behind the concept of a minaudiere, though. I can barely fit my gotta haves in a clutch! I take comfort in the fact that it's probably empty, and therefore she doesn't need to worry about being able to fit lip balm, a cellphone, an emergency tampon, gum, credit card, ID, and cash all in that teeny little thing.

The dress is okay, better than that other tiered one with the sweat stain. The shoes are cute, but I don't like it with the dress, at all. And the clutch is cute, but I prefer the one that Fab found.

I love the dress, forget the shoes.

I like the shoes but wouldn't have worn them with that dress. Still, this is a vast improvement over the Lanvin.

I love this look. The color is fun and summery and the shoes really ground the look. Good job!

I agree -- the dress is a nice choice, but the shoes are terrible. In my opinion, the shoes are too dark and heavy for that ensemble.

i definitely like this dress better - it suits her nicely - the style is more flirty like she seems and the shoes are killer too. i thought that the one sleeve dress was kind of like she was trying too hard - but that's just my opinion.

love this! so much better than the Lanvin, I love how the beautiful orange complements her tan, and the shoes are adorable - I can't believe none of you like them...

An improvement from the Lanvin dress and the color suits her skin tone.

I agree- I don't like her choice of shoes. I know Fab has advocated seasonless dressing, but her dress screams Summer while her shoes say Fall. It just doesn't look right to me. I'm not crazy about the clutch either.

I don't like the shoes she chose but other than that she looks FAB.

I would have chosen a sandal, but she looks great in orange.
