yes of course. people see the inside of your jacket when you take it off, you don't want it to look too fug.

I love when a jacket has an amazing lining. Just gives it that special something..totally worth every penny :)

yes...and that's why i have trouble shopping at h&m and mango and places like this.

Yep, especially in purses and coats because those items get a lot of wear. I have a Betsey peacoat and the decorative lining really makes the coat special.

I don't really care if it's pretty.. but I care if it's ugly.

So I voted no, because I don't ALWAYS check out the lining (like in skirts). But, I do check it out in bags & coats....and if there's special detailing in it- it's definitely somethings that catches my eye.

Agreed, lining of a handbag is a MUST for "cuteness" factor, if it's a coat or something I could be swayed either way.

i'm obsessed with linings! they are often a tipping point for me when i'm considering a new purchase :)

I found the perfect navy wool pea coat on sale--the exact style that I'd been searching for for ages, in my exact size--only to slide it off the hanger to try it on and discover this bizarre orange and gold geometric pattern for the lining fabric. It was too ugly--I couldn't do it. I put it back without buying. :(I think with a coat that you tend to take on and off a lot it's *definitely* a deal-breaker but I'm not so sure I'd feel the same for other items.

i am obsessed with the lining of bags. i need it to look good inside and out. as for clothing, it's a plus, but not the decision maker.

I like it when the inside is pretty, but just as an added bonus. I wouldn't avoid buying an item just because the lining was blah.

i agree with that SKG. bags are the only thing that crappy liner is a dealbreaker for me.

I'm with snarkypants. Great finishing can make a garment feel super-special, though!

it matters to me, but it's not a dealbreaker. if i love everything else, but the lining is boring, i'll still get it.
