Hey, it's Allison McNamara and you're watching Fab Flash. Get ready to get regal, because Milan Fashion Week showed all things opulent for next season. From brocade to lace to jewel embellishments, designers like Dolce & Gabanna, Ferragamo, and Gucci all things luxurious for Fall 2012. Set against a beautiful gold frame, models at Dolce and Gabbana took to the catwalk in decadently adorned black white and gold design. Evoking a medieval feel, sheer white sleeves and collars peeked out from luxe velvet capes. Gold everything, from boots to bags to belts, even sunglasses. Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana mixed rich textures like brocade and lace, and added sheer insets to gold-incrusted peplum dresses. Ferragamo went for a whimsical, romantic feel with peasant-style dress silhouettes Sheer lacy gowns were tinged with a Midas touch, and our favorite was this floaty black dress trimmed with gold. Gucci used texture to add opulence to their collection. Jewel embellishments and revealing patterns added a richness to dark, dramatic silhouettes. Gucci also showed sumptuous velvet gowns, including a brilliant emerald version that we predict will have a red carpet moment this season. Marni also amped up the glitz factor with head-to-toe tapestry prints fit for a palace. And over at Prada, oversized jewels graced everything, from textured military jackets to trenchcoats. We are so looking forward to slipping into some opulent outfits come fall. What do you guys think of this trend? Tell us. Thanks for tuning in to Fab Flash on Fab Sugar TV.
