Minju Kim's collaboration with H&M might not be the most anticipated designer partnership this Fall, but it's definitely among the coolest. Kim, a 27-year-old graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, got the honor of having her wares sold at H&M when she won its annual design competition this year. And her whimsical, personality-packed collection hits select H&M stores and online today.
"Creating this collection with H&M has been an amazing experience," Kim said. "My designs are about turning characters into outfits, and it's exciting to think that these characters will soon be worn by people around the world."
Kim's imaginative pieces bring the fantastical world of Manga to life, and their colorful, optimistic color palette and inventive shapes are like nothing else you'll find this Fall. You'll be able to find the clothes online, in H&M stores, and at Opening Ceremony in the US, now. Until then, here's a first look at the collection.
