NY Fashion Week: Milly

I'm a big fan of baby-doll dresses and other girly-cute clothes, so lately I've been admiring the designs of New York-based label Milly, by designer Michelle Smith. Her clothes have been spotted on celebs including Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston and are sold at Scoop and other favorite fashionista destinations. Milly's Spring 2007 collection, unveiled at New York Fashion Week, is pure fun. Not the sort of stuff you'd want to wear to a job interview, mind you, but just right for indulging your adorable side.

With Milly we see some trends that surfaced earlier this week—like coral tones, big buttons, and cropped jackets—in addition to some very playful and creative takes on eyelet and polka-dots. I particularly like the circular shades that all of the models were sporting. It's enough to make me want to skip fall and go right to summer. Is there some crazy uncollerated fact that length of skirts impacts the economy? The longer the fashion the 'worse' the economy is? If that's the case, then it's looking up for the economy.

Hmm...this whole collection is a little too mod for me too, Crispy. And I don't think I could wear those dresses alone - they're so short!

I think a lot of it is real cute. The 70s/Mod thing is not me though.
