OK. I've been a faithful Project Runway watcher since day one. I have gone through loving and hating all of the judges and contestants. This season was a bit weird. At first I didn't care for any of the designers, but as with season's past, I began rooting for certain designers and started to appreciate their talents. Last night was a huge shocker. Really. The way that Michael and Nina overpowered Heidi and Jessica was bizarre. They bullied them up and into giving it to Gretchen. Now, I do see that Gretchen took their advise and hipped up her "girls" by putting them in heels and bright lips and big hair. OK so, I guess that is the reason they chose Gretchen. But, come now, how many of us want to wear her clothing unless it's to a yoga class? For Michael and Nina to say she is current and on trend made my head spin. Done. Mondo was great. Fantastic even. Fun and even the great Betsey Johnson was impressed by his witty, fun and interesting collection. I agree it is a FASHION show. Not a what will sell in my magazine show. I thought his use of the Day of the Dead was great and I would love to have several of his pieces. His collection reminded me of what Frida Khalo would wear if she were alive today. Very cool, very hip and beyond all very different. Mondo should have won, and weird that he didn't. When Michael Kors compared his own work to that of John Galliano's I almost fell off of my couch. Who's show would you rather see, huh? At least we know which show Kate Moss would be walking in. I'm, sorry guys, and I love you all but Mondo was malto, malto!

MONDO!MONDO!MONDO!MONDO!Project Runway has lost their vision. I'd like to see Nina Garcia in some of Gretchen's short shorts. I'd rather wear the emperor's new clothes!
