OnSugar Blogger Dressing Up in Daisies Gives the Rundown on the Platform

Platforms Are Bigger Than Ever For Spring

Even though some are saying platforms are out for 2011, we love them for those precious few extra inches. OnSugar blogger Dressing Up in Daisies gives us a rundown on the platform and highlights some amazing platforms we need to watch out for this Spring.

As that amazing, sexy '70s vibe came soaring down the Spring 2011 runways, a very particular shoe of choice became very popular: platforms. Famously imported from the '70s, platforms are back and are going to be bigger than ever this Spring! Platforms really come in so many different styles — booties, lace-up, wedges, pumps, and this season's favorite: espadrilles! I'm obsessed with big, huge platforms that channel my inner Rachel Zoe. Since I'm pretty short, wearing platforms is like putting myself on a big tall stage in shoe version! But, if you happen to be on the taller side, fear not. Platforms can be a subtle lift on a pump or even a couple-inch Prada espadrille. The possibilities to give a nod to your inner Ziggy Stardust are endless. Skip into Spring with some chunky, '70s-inspired, platforms on your feet!
