When it came to the clothes, simple romanticism was the overriding theme at Louis Vuitton's Spring 2007 runway show at Paris Fashion Week. With the occasional nod to Little Miss Muffet, delicate neutrals and pastels came together to construct airy layers, floral crowns, ruffly skirts, and indulgently feminine neck wear. Flashes of tulle and flower appliques were tamed by the occasional skinny belt or corset-like vest for a look that was part glam and part garden party.
The bags, on the other hand, were downright wacky, with gold- and plastic-chain handles, faded denim tones, mottled collages of patterns and textures, and multicolored button-like adornments.
