On Thursday night, Phillip Lim hosted one of the most anticipated events of New York Fashion Week: a party celebrating his Target collaboration . Everyone from Solange Knowles to Jessica Alba and Maria Sharapova attended the event, and all of them were wearing pieces from the offering.
The rest of the party's guest list, which included Lim's fellow designers Richard Chai and Marchesa's Keren Craig, had the opportunity to shop the collaboration early. Throngs of attendees took that opportunity, which meant the party was packed and more than a little busy. But with the chance to get pieces of such a great collaboration 10 days early, what else could you expect?
A look inside the party, here in the gallery.
Actress Jessica Alba attended the party wearing one of the collection's graphic, comic-book-inspired sweaters.
Solange Knowles was also there, wearing a pair of shorts and a blazer from the collaboration.
Tennis star Maria Sharapova looked fresh in this colorblocked dress from the Phillip Lim for Target partnership.
Of course Phillip Lim, the man of the hour himself, was also at the party.
Keren Craig, who designs Marchesa with Georgina Chapman, looked cool in a matching printed top and skirt.
Actor Emile Hirsch let out a roar in this tiger-print t-shirt.
Nate Berkus and his fiancé, Jeremiah Brent, attended the party, too.
Richard Chai, at left, came out to support his fellow designer Phillip Lim.
Fashion critic Teri Agins made an appearance at the celebration
Paper magazine editors Kim Hastreiter and Mickey Boardman joined in on the fun.
Lim also did an interview with Fashion Police cohost George Kotsiopoulos.
The scene at the party was, in a word, crowded — but what else would you expect for a highly popular collaboration?
