The cool-girl customer will rejoice for the continued evolution of the Rebecca Taylor label into, well, even cooler territory. Once a one-stop shop for girlier fare — party dresses and pretty blouses — Taylor continued her more modern, trend-sensitive update most obviously in (totally wearable) head-to-toe print, leather wares, and smoky, soft neutral palette.
Bold animal prints aren't quite so intimidating on cropped trousers and shirt sets, party dresses with just-sexy-enough cutouts, or on knits finished in subtle grays. It's not a blinding "look-at-me" color or cut, but the result is a look that'll turn heads nonetheless. That goes for the sweet florals, made more sporty and infinitely more modern when washed onto silky tees and structured miniskirts. And if you're looking for the reverse effect — say, sportier sweatshirts made sweeter with embroidered cutouts or leather softened up with an allover lush, flower print — Taylor's got that, too. We imagine this is where all the downtown girls will turn to get their print fix.
