Rich Chocolate Nail Polish

We've all heard how hot dark nail polish is this Fall. But why not break the mold a little bit and try a deep chocolate brown instead of black polish? The Fall 2006 nail color collections have plenty of rich brown hues to choose from, and these cocoa-infused colors look great with the earth-toned accessories that are big this season. Here are three of my favorites.

OPI Decades of Shades, $6, available here.

To see the rest,

Nailtini Straight Up Color Brandy, $12, available here.

Essie Clutch Me If You Can Nail Polish, $7, available here.

Essi is my fave - though I'm not too sure about the dark brown in general. I bought a deep, dark purple by Rimmel for $1.99 and it's my new fave. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it.

BB, Sally Hansen also has a clear top coat called "No Chip" This is amazing it's almost like laqour, the pain is waiting for it to dry, but it keeps my nailpolish on longer.

JennaV, Put a base coat or clear coat on before appyling nail polish color. That will keep you from staining your nails. FYI, I tried stain proof base coat by Sally Hansen and it is not working for me. Now, I put down 2 clear coats before color polish. DesignRchic, I'm going to check that color out, thanks. Love these! And love OPI, I just wish it didn't dry up so fast. I love that it is pretty chip resistant!

I think it's better than wearing black nail polish.

I don't wear it. It does look good on some people.

It's real popular here in Sweden too! =) I am wearing black right now, but I LOVE OPI!!! And I can't wait to buy some brown and purple tones. I have purple already, but it's more like lavender.

OPI is the bomb! I don't like these dark shades, though. I reckon because I have never worn them. Plus, I worry they will stain my nails.

I love these, especially during this season.

ooh, these are great esp. on short nails. I use Sally Hansen's Diamons Strength, Always Ascher.

I never thought I'd be attracted to brown or purple nailpolish but O*P*I has shades of both that I love. I'm definitely going to try them.

I love these all! I've been coveting that Decades of Shades since it started showing up in magazines. My hick little town hasn't had it every time I've checked. :( Maybe its time to check again.

Hmm, I don't think I'd ever want to paint my nails brown.
