Simply Fab: Sanita Black Patent Leather Clog

I love clogs. Whether they have traditional hand-painted flowers on them or are cosmopolitan slick, like these Sanita Black Patent Leather Clogs ($115), which are the closest thing I've found to a super comfortable and cute shoe.

I know what you're thinking: They look like hospital shoes. But I saw a girl wearing these last weekend and thought they looked very functional chic. The bit of height and tread on the bottom prevent exposure and slippage in murky, icy waters and the patent leather makes them acceptable in fashion circles. You ask what kind of stylish shoe one can wear in a blizzard? Look no further.

I don't care for these at all. Also, they don't seem particularly practical for the snow. Firstly because of the style itself, but also wearing patent leather in snow (especially if there's a lot of salt when you're in the city) will ruin it. Patent rubber is one thing, but the leather will not fare well for long. It is hard though to be chic in the snow. I'm getting tired of wearing my wellies (although i adore them) and of course find it drab to pull out the old shearling boots.

you've got to be kidding... plain old sneakers would be better than these... ANYTHING would be better than clogs...

If youre so concerned with being comfy, I'd opt for tennis shoes instead...more comfy and possibly even a step up lookwise [depending on the pair].

For a blizzard?? Not when there are so many cute boots to be had. I'd rather wear a pair of Hunters than these anyday.Clogs are just not okay...unless you have to wear them for work. Even then, i'd probably keep them at work and change into them when I got there. Wouldn't want them around, corrupting the rest of my shoes :)

I have friends who were these shoes and can't stop talking about how comfortable they are but there's no way I'd sport these! Plus to pay $115 for something that looks like that just seems wrong.

Sad! So many fabsugar readers hate these! I really like my pair -- for casual (snowy) Fridays and weekend outings to the market. I'm with saralyn - "clogs... (are) more kosher than jimmy choos" where I live.

i love clogs. just bought a cute pair of handpainted clogs in malmö, sweden (clogland!) the only prob is that they kinda hurt the tops of your feet if you're not used to them... clogs ain't crocs;-)

I was introducing your site to a friend of mine and then I said "Look at their Fashion section, it's really good!" and that UGLY thing appears! We went "EWww!" at the same time! And then I said it's their "Love it or Hate it" poll!" But no... Not even that... It was real hard to make that first impression go away! I had to show her some "oldies but goldies" posts to save your name! :)

It's sad to say, but I have always hated clogs and I probably always will.

They're so boxy. If Birkenstock made shoes for Payless, it would be these.
